• Simple time tracker: no muss, no fuss

  Extremely easy to set up and use Great for solo tracking No codes to enter: just clock in, clock out, and add a description if desired If it's easy to use, you're more likely to use it

  Summary

  I'm obligated to track my time but I'm terrible at it! On the other hand, I'm not paid to sit around messing with the time clock, so I need something simple that will just let me know how many minutes since I clocked in on a task. MousePaw TimeCard does the trick. Press "clock in" to start counting time and "clock out" to stop. At any point, you can add a note to your log stating what it is you're tracking or other important points, such as "spent 15 minutes of this time on another task..." There's also a "break" button. And that's pretty much it. The saved log is a .TXT file. The only feature I miss is an actual time stamp. The log shows the date and amount of time spent, but not the hour I clock in or out. That would be helpful when reconstructing time afterward for those tasks I forgot to record. But I'll take this over a fancy integrated system any day.

  really could use a track by project / task option

  Worth looking at - but I need to track time between a handful of things - will use this for now , but am looking for something better

  There are no pros because I can't use the program.

  Program installed but would not run without a .NET framework installed. Description does not say this. So can't use the program.
