Windows Hlp To Rtf

This application is a good tool for converting Microsoft Help files into RTF files, but it has some flaws. Windows HLP to RTF's wizardlike interface will help you through the conversion process, making it relatively easy to search for Help files in your computer and specify the output folder.

You can choose from four types of reconstruction methods, create one RTF file, or split into any number of files. It's nice to know that the program preserves embedded graphics in the converted file using Generate RTF without Page Breaks, but we were disappointed it didn't retain the original text layout.

However, the big problem with the trial version is it can only convert help files no larger than 150KB. If you can live with the trial limitation, this program is a nice tool for users who need to convert Microsoft Help files into RTF.
