This organizational tool is great at grouping your related files and folders under one umbrella, although its file-management skills could stand some tweaking. Generating a new project with RA Document Organizer is simple enough, thanks to a no-nonsense interface, and adding files and folders by name or file extension is convenient. The program lets you give a description of your projects so you can create quick overviews, which we like. The search tool provided is a must-have for any file organizer, and we were able to pinpoint particular folders for searches to be carried out. E-mailing files and creating ZIP archives and backups is as easy as expected, but the renaming feature isn't as practical as we've seen. You'll have to tediously rename files one by one since the program doesn't rename batches of files according to matching text occurrences as we've seen in similar programs. Despite its shortcomings, RA Document Organizer is a respectable enough file organizer for anyone fed up with the usual muddle of files.
