This program is a handy Web grabber but could be better with a few more features. WebZIP downloads and stores any type of file, whether whole pages or plug-ins, from the Web to your hard drive. In our tests, WebZIP performed well, but we would have liked a bit more control over what we were downloading. For example, if we didn't want a whole Web page (JPEGs and all), we weren't able to specify individual page files--which meant we ended up saving a lot of junk along with the files we wanted. The start page could stand a few drop-down menus to help clear the button clutter, too. Useful download reports help you sort through files before you hit Go. Overall, WebZIP works, but we'd love a few more features to fine-tune downloads.

Pros
I used it for a year for a news site that requires password login. WebZip works great, and the speed has been quite good.
Cons
Its proxy function doesn't work. This product got no support at all - I sent 3 mails in 1 week and got no single reply.
Summary
I like this product as it works as it should be. But there are major defects and I am very pissed off by lack of support at all.
Fast, many optional settings, but has problems.

Great interface, the fastest of many i tried, downloads fast, relinks site, all options you can ask for. 15 day free trial is fully functional.
Cons
CPU hog; increased CPU usage to 100% and CPU temerature to 160 degrees Fahrenheit, even when not downloading. 5% error rate. Sometimes does not respond when using interface.
Summary
WebZip7 is a good program that simply needs to be recoded to fix problems i mentioned above. If the developer does this i would definitely purchase because the $30 price is reasonable. Some days ago a friend asked me if I could download a web site for her. The problem was that in order to access this site (it was an online seminar) you should provide username and password in an online form. I tried several offline browsers, most of them couldn?t overcome that obstacle while few of them claimed that they could but on testing proved that they could not. I was happy to find out that WebZip will solve my problem, as it is capable to operate as a normal online browser, so I simply entered the web address and afterwards username-password and ? that?s it! I entered in the web area I wanted. After that things where quite easy; I selected to download the whole web site! Not forget to mention also, that even if WebZip is sharewhare its fully functional for 30 days as it says, without being annoying with various messages or less capabilities e.t.c.

Now bad things: <p>First its really slow, maybe that?s why many users think that it crashes, it is so slow that you don?t expect that it is still working and at the same time there is no obvious indication that it is still working! <p>Second, it downloads tones of crap and double entries. <p>Last and most important it doesn?t download the whole stuff! Talking for me, I had to check which parts of the web site didn?t download and download them again!<p>If WebZip solve these problems it would be certainly a worth to buy offline browser.
