Create a time-lapse video with digital camera or Webcam.
Webcam Flix is an application that uses a digital camera or Web cam to create time-lapse movies. Still pictures are captured every few seconds, minutes or hours (whatever the user decides), then they are merged together as frames in a time-lapse video. Some pretty cool effects can be achieved this way. Version 3.5 includes the ability to create images at custom resolutions and imprint timestamps.
Does what it's supposed to. Generates images of various dimensions. Individual frames can be used used by other applications (stacking comes to mind). Good for seeing if this is the kind of application you're looking for.
Cons
Most of what you need to do to make this usable requires edits to the registry (explained in FAQ online). Does not use all available resolution settings of webcam (Logitech C615). If stopped before a video is generated, does not seem to be able to create videos when restarted.
I suspect the only thing $10 gets you is removal of the "License this software" banner in every image.
Summary
This might be worth $10 if all the required controls are implemented in the user interface instead of requiring registry edits. Not quite ready for general release.
No. Nope. Pass. Move along. Don't bother.

Pros
Free trial.
Cons
Free trial a waste of time.
Default save folder is C:
Clutters up HDD with jpegs.
No preview.
8 hours of shooting takes ~12 hours to render on an XP P4 w/1G RAM.
Time stamp stamps if it feels like it.
Summary
Worth no more than 10¢, to me.
Easy to use software. Compatible with many cameras.

Pros
Very easy to use. Launches quickly and adopts the camera settings (brightness control, contrast, backlighting, color, etc.) to whatever camera I hook up to my computer.
Cons
Have to edit some lines of the registry in order to compile videos with pre-existing pictures in the folder.
Summary
I have been using Webcam Flix since version 1. I have taken hundreds of time lapses with several different cameras. The software has never failed to perform. It is not a sophisticated piece of software, but does a superb job.
good, but not worth paying for.
Arzan87
Pros
Nice and simple to use, produce decent results.
Cons
The program crashed a few times when I was using a large amount of images, and not being able to use pictures from other sources is not so great.
Summary

RimskyLeto
Pros
It's simple and easy. Above all, it's cheap ;) My Sony DCR-HC22E camcorder works like a charm with it.
Cons
It might have support for output paths and sizeable video.
<p>Allso the lapse period could be set in config and keyboard settable, instead of each time starting at 1 and changing with a spin box
Summary
great concept, simple, cheap, to bad it doesn't work
dand2000
Pros
I liked the concept, only $5 to buy, a simple tool to do what you think would be simple.
Cons
Couldn't get it to work.
Summary
Excellent and affordable!
NoExcusesYAC
Pros
This does all that I would have wanted and a little more, and comes at a VERY affordable cost. The maker of the software is very quick to reply to questions and his emails are non-automated and friendly. Definately a recommended product.
Cons
It doesn't feature an exposure setting, which can result in slightly choppy animation at higher frame intervals. I can't complain about this, as long exposure time is very difficult with digital photography. However, it looks as if it might be put in for version 2, and the creator of the software also makes a program called 'Exposure', which does long exposure shots.
Summary
You get what you pay for
geekbear
Pros
It does what it's supposed to do.
Cons
there are no options within the program to make camera adjustments such as Outdoor lighting versus indoor.
