  Tons of functions, great recording quality, no need to configure router, support my iPhone and Bold.

  Summary

  I have been looking for simple surveillance system which allow me viewing my webcam on my iPhone and Blackberry. I found free Visoplus on Apple store, downloaded on my iPhone and viewed their demo cam, looked great so i decided to follow their instruction to go to their website to download software for my laptop. the CD for downloading is too big that why I found small file on download.com. after installing app, it told me that I need 3 components to run the software, it was not straight forward setup for some newbies, I had 2 components on my laptop already so i just installed ffdshow. Interface of app is good, many features, you can find almost every kind of features on other similar software, motion alarm,video and audio recording, email alert and even SMS alert etc. actually I don't need too many features, but i am really impressive about the recording quality, it is real time and can be played directly by windows media player. email alert works find, but I was never able to make SMS alert working. Making my iPhone works with it is pretty easy, created new profile with my ID and password on my iPhone's visoplus app, I was able to see my webcam on my iPhone, for BB you need to download their BB software, I will use iPhone mostly since I have enough data plan. IMO, the biggest advantage of this software is the video go through firewalls and router without touching them, most similar software i tried needs configuration of router, you have to make port forward or virtual server to be able to see cameras on remote PC and Mobile device, but for visoplus I don't know how they programed but you don't need to touch router and firewall. Overall, it is decent webcam software which you can turn your desktop or laptop to a surveillance system. great video quality and tons of features. works with almost all mobile devices. little bit complicated for first time user.
