This software found and installed the multimedia driver, SD card reader, for my Averatec 3280.

Probably to complicated for newer users.

Newer versions are always better. Its windows accessible array tool is meant to be useful.

HD controller drives are much all the same. Its windows accessible array tool is dangerous in computer-newbie hands.

Not recommended for computer illiterates. Default installation brings a raid tool to tray icon and to start>programs menu, until one day you realize you never used it, check its help docs and hey, this is just another non-essential software processing at startup [as it is if you don't use it]. Just run this driver install with the proper setup for this action ('proper' goes against windows-ease-only user). Else, let's just clear its autostart flag... then boots error; let's put it back to initialize... then boots error#2; let's manually execute... then boots error#3. The errors themselves are rather simple, but win-xp may instruct those ultimate proceedings for severe hardware damage.

i cant find anyone who can get the 4in1VIA drivers to work right. as you see if you do a search it seems like everyone ends up with a blue screen and you have to reload windows or luckily i had RestoreIt running and was able to hit spacebar to roll back my computer but time consuming and confusing and frustrating are too nice of a description for VIA and their lack of help on this issue.
