This small, useful application helps users easily customize some PC settings, but some setting changes don't take effect until after your computer reboots. The program's well-organized interface has separate panels for the tweaking categories. Tweak And Tune offers users easy access to system settings, including hidden settings. You can fine-tune Windows, security, and some selected application's settings. The program enables and disables common icons, changes the Explorer toolbar, optimizes boot and network settings, enables and disables hot keys, and clears the history with a few simple steps. Another nifty thing is that users can secure their PCs by setting restrictions on the Add/Remove Programs and Task Scheduler features and hide the computer from their Network Neighborhood. This tool can also tweak software, but selections are limited to Internet Explorer, MSN Messenger, and Outlook Express. Tweak And Tune offers quick access to the Registry editor, msconfig, and the Control Panel through its Tools menu. Though its primary fault is the reboot required for some setting changes, this powerful freeware is worth a try for all users.

Personally, I downloaded Tweak And Tune to remove the 'Shortcut To" when making shortcuts. It doesn't work, so this product is of no use to me.

PROVIDES A COMPREHENSIVE DESCRIPTION FOR EACH TWEAK AND PROVIDES A DIFINITAVE WARNING PRIOR TO PERFORMING A TWEAK THAT COULD CAUSE PROBLEMS.

SOME OF THE TWEAKS OFFERED ARE DIFFICULT TO UNDERSTAND AND SHOULD PE PERFORMED ONLY BY ADVANCED USERS.
