This feature-rich program offers a wealth of tools for tracking hurricanes. Since Tracking the Eye consumes a rather large amount of RAM, make sure your PC is up to the task before you install it. The tabbed interface boasts many icons and menu items and may initially appear intimidating. However, spend a little time, and you'll eventually learn your way around.

The main tracking section displays a nicely designed map that allows easy views of both the Atlantic and Pacific hurriance regions. If there's a storm brewing, you'll see its path on the map, and you also can open a database that contains information on past hurricanes, tropical storms, and depressions. A tremendous amount of information about current and past storms includes wind speeds, longitude and latitude, storm direction, barometric pressure, and tons of other stats for weather junkies.

Tabs let you access real-time satellite images, read public advisories, and information on public advisories. You'll also find tools for customizing the appearance of the maps, as well as graphs and stats regarding certain storms. Anyone with an interest in hurricanes is likely to find Tracking the Eye well worth the download.

It is totaly useless

After installing the key and getting an acceptance message, the program starts and says "your IPS address has been sent to Piracy.org." What in the world does this mean! The program does not work-period. I contacted them via email 4 times and no answer. This used to be an excellent program but, not today! I contacted the the credit card company to start a stop payment action.

Can not get credit/registration for my renewal payment. This is the third time it's happened. Have sent the company 4 emails and received zero (0) response !!
Summary
Bottom line is there is nothing special about this software in any case. More up to date and better tracking is available free on NOAA/WeatherBug/WeatherUnderground. All tracking the eye consist of is these free site information.

Been with them for years, they improved every year!

Six hours before a hurricane was due to hit my town they discontinued my "free trial" and cut off internet data. All these years I didn't know I was on a free trial. I no longer care to do business with them.

It says, "You will get the latest NHC real time data from our internet servers,...."<p> So where are their servers?? the NHC or Weather Channel or ??? You know there are some great FREE programs that do this and have the same info.<p>Oh well... if you build it they'll buy it.

This program can do anything. You put the cursor over an area of the country and you are instantly given coordinates and told if anything is "happening" in that area. <p>Everyone living on a coast needs this program. It's a GodSend!

There are no cons about this program it's a lifesaver and wonderful!
