Used StartUp for Windows?
Editors’ Review
If you're fed up with the load time of your Windows programs, then StartUp may have the answer. This small application allows you to pick and choose which programs Windows launches at start-up.
StartUp has a very basic interface with only five command buttons to choose from. The uncluttered layout makes it easy to add or edit the application you wish to control. One downside is that you'll need to know the command line for the program you want to launch. If you decide to get rid of your start-up entries, a CleanUp button makes it a one-step process. Three additional buttons allow you to refresh the registry, save the log, or get help. The Help menu contains loads of information should you find yourself stuck, though most users won't have much trouble with this intuitive program. It's unclear how much refreshing the Refresh button does, as we didn't notice any changes when we clicked it.
StartUp is a free application that doesn't require a username or password or any personal information or registration. In fact, starting up StartUp is a snap. Once it's downloaded, you just run the executable and the interface simply appears; there's no installation process to go through. If wait time is a problem for you when loading Windows programs, StartUp has a solution.
