Considering its stiff competition, SpyCleaner fails to stand out as a truly reliable weapon against adware. Although the program's main window is easy enough to understand and navigate, we wished it could be resized to more easily view a list of detected components. However, after witnessing the program's lackluster performance, we can safely say its interface is certainly not the biggest issue. The malware database is quite small, containing fewer than 400 items. Scanning our test PC took a lot of time, and the application didn't even remove all the adware components it located, leaving a number of files and registry keys on our system. Still, we did find a few useful features, such as the ability to restore erased components if removing them damages your computer in some way, and the Hijack Repair utility that keeps an eye on home-page hijackers. We've certainly seen worse antiadware applicationss, but most users can do a lot better.

Pros
Cons
Twice I tried to download it and it failed. It only partially downloaded. I can't say if it's any good or not.

Cleans up your spyware

Pros
Cons
But you don't really need it. Try these free ones instead of paying..Ad-Aware, A-Squared, Spybot, Advanced Spyware Removal, Spyware Exterminator, Yahoo AntySpyware, and of course Windows Defender,(Microsoft AntySpywae Beta)

Better ASW apps are available for free

Pros
It will find some older types of spyware.
Cons
Nothing inspires confidence like all but one review giving this a raving 2 THUMBS UP! and BEST EVER! and FINDS ALL SPYWARE!

No ASW software finds ALL spyware, and this one is certainly not "the best there is", not by a long shot.
Summary
Easy to use and powerful to remove spyware

Pros
I love this product. I have already another product, Spy Cleaner Gold from this company and both of these software has made my life easy since I do a lot of surfing.
Cons
should have a little fast scan.

Pros
This is better than anyother spyware program I have used. It doesn't find everything like other programs but it sure does find WAY more than the others. DOWNLOAD IT!
Cons
Takes too long to scan.

Very positive review

Pros
After seeing a very positive review in a magazine I decided to download this and was shocked to find I had a key logger on my machine! I normally use this PC for home stuff, and have no idea how it got there. But SpyCleaner found and deleted something called 'invisble keylogger' -- all gone now thank goodness. I had mistakenly assumed my anti virus program would have detected it but when I contacted them the customer service person said they "do not attempt to detect all keyloggers" and again recommended an anti-spyware program like SpyCleaner! Hope this helps someone else. I recommend you download and just check your system, it's free 15 day trial so there is nothing to loose.
Cons

Summary
Finds Every spyware

Pros
It Finds and deletes All your spyware. But be carefull if you have a P2P proram like BearShares,Limewire,Kaza, etc. SpyCleaner will delete those programs if you don"t uncheck the box next to their names, because Spy Cleaner feels all P2P programs are spyware. I personally feel you should spend a few dollars more and get Spy cleaner Gold, It's an upgrade with more features, but they are both well worth the price to have a spyware free pc. 5 Stars and TWO thumbs UP!
Cons
Might have a few false positives once in a while, I'm not sure.
Summary
Highly effective!

Pros
I've been troubled by spyware (adware specifically) for some time now. Spycleaner was able to get rid of such pests, and as a consequence, my pc's performance improved (particularly the Internet speed - better download time). At the moment, I don't have a job yet but when I do get one I'll make it a point to purchase this product.
Cons
Summary
might be the best spy cleaner on the market

Pros
I download and test most the new releases that Download.com offers, especially the spyware fighters, registry cleaners, and web browsers. I now have so many icons on my screen I can't see my wallpaper anymore. Today I added SpyCleaner 8.6 to my army of eighteen spy removers. I ran all eighteen programs first, which included Spy Sweeper, Spyware doctor,Adaware,Emco,a-squared,Microsoft anti spy,Mcafee anti spy,Pest patrol,Counter spy, and BP spyware remover,(just to name a few). This took about 2 hours to run all of them, and the last 12 found nothing, of course. I then ran SpyCleaner and it found nine tracking cookies that my whole army had missed! I found that very impresive. As soon as I infect my pc with some big bugs,180 search, bargain buddy, Save, Cool web search, and a few trojans from porn sights and p2p sharing programs, I will give it another test and see how it does. But for now I recommend this product and think you shoud purchase it before the price goes up, because it cost less than the others. TWO thumbs UP!
Cons
Scans a little slower then the others.
