Editors’ Review
Easily prioritize system processes with this tool, but it could use sorting capabilities to make it more efficient. Smart Prioritizer's dialog box interface resembles Windows Task Manager, but includes a couple of extra tabs. A short manual includes basic process information, but it's best used by intermediate users and above.
Smart Prioritizer's process list could be much more useful. It merely lists process names, CPU usage, and current priorities. You can't sort by any category, but a right-click menu lists most process priority tools for quick access. Changing the priority of a process is a mere matter of right-clicking it and selecting the new priority. The Control tab contains the real power of this app. You can select a process and easily change its priority depending on the system CPU usage. It takes a few seconds to make a process a higher priority or force it to idle. You can also use a pull-down to quickly apply automatic rules triggered if the process operates under select conditions.
Both intermediate users looking to get a handle on their PC priorities and advanced users looking to quickly apply particular configurations to their system processes will find this utility easy to operate and helpful.
