Whoever you are - an already skilled seamstress or a tailor, or a beginner to sewing - you probably know that creating a circle skirt pattern is not as easy as it sounds. Half a circle, a quarter? What is the radius? What about all the maths that goes into it? How to draw the seam line at a precise angle when my skirt is two feet long? A tiny mistake in your calculations and you might ruin the perfect fabric you got for your sewing project.

It is even more so important to avoid errors from the beginning. You can use calculators, but can you check if your hips will have enough room and choose how long you wish the skirt to be? And what about the placement of pockets and all the other neat tricks of the trade you need to keep in mind?

Give up! Yes, you are reading it right. Give up on searching and checking calculators, and try this app for once. It will guide you by following just three simple steps.

1. First choose fullness of your future skirt from a quarter, half, three quarters or a full circle. It will give you feedback on your choice and tell you which option might be suitable for your project.

2. Then fill-in measurements of your waist and desired length to the skirt's hem. You can even quickly check how wide is your final product going to be around your hips and if you will have enough space to walk comfortably.

3. As a third step decide what layout you wish to use to cut it out of your fabric. The app will tell you what options in laying the pattern down you have and warn you about any pitfalls you might otherwise forget to check.

The final result is a draft with the necessary measurements to transfer on a paper. If you then feel like alternating some of the choices you can click back through the app and make new ones.

Check out the screenshots to see how easy it is to use this app to get you started on your sewing journey.

All feedback is appreciated.

You ask why the silly app name? I believe a great skirt can pick you up and make you feel more of whatever you want to feel right at that moment.

A disclaimer: this app is drafting a sewing pattern, doing all necessary calculations and taking you through the steps, but you still need to do the work of transferring the final dimensions and instructions on a paper.
