I am an X10 Professional... good idea to beat out x10.com at something and I hope you do to be honest... but get it a littel more reliable and add some schedualing... also... keep it free!
I had no problems using it.

I installed it in XP Pro and my firecracker in on com 1 , so it picked it up right away. It's smaller than the one from X10 themselves which is better.

As of now, I have one lamp plugged int a lamp module. The software I downloaded from x10 works great. I can't get shane's product to work. Also, it doesn't seem to have any other capability than on and off.

This application controls only the firecracker module (aka cm17a) that plugs into your computer's com-port. Smaller, and more efficient control of your appliances/lights via the firecracker module. Version 0.95b (beta) may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.
