PC-Scope Diagnostic Self-Booting Software runs in a special operating system without booting into the computer's OS. The interface is basic with an emphasis on information rather than design. The application quickly identifies basic system information such as processor, memory, hard drive, and graphics adapter. It tests CPU, video and sound, and select motherboard components such as PCI slots, CMOS, and certain plug-and-play components. Some of the tests are disabled in the demo version, not all results are well explained, and the information gleaned is not for novices. PC-Scope Professional Diagnostics boots up the PC on its own and tests the hardware independent from the PC's operating system. Full working version will work and tests all Intel and AMD cpu's, including the new 64 bit processors. Will test today's 256mb agp and pci express video cards including, NVidia and ATI.
