This application lives up to its name by anonymizing your IP address, but several issues temper our enthusiasm. When you launch NetConceal Anonymizer, the tiny, bland-looking main window immediately begins testing a large list of proxies; the downside to this is it can take a good bit of time before it verifies a proxy. Once it does, it will show you the country from which the IP address will originate, though you also can click the Options menu to filter our certain countries. In some tests, the program worked without a hitch, but in others, we couldn't launch our browser after applying an anonymous IP. The program also appears to have some minor stability problems, as it hung up on occasion, though it never fully crashed. NetConceal Anonymizer uses 1080 ports, which are used by default for firewall compatibility, but if you know what you're doing you can configure this option for more proxy choices. Additionally, you can decrease network time-outs to obtain faster proxies, though we don't think the eight-use, 10-day trial is all that generous. Patient users seeking online anonymity might try NetConceal Anonymizer, but it's certainly not perfect.
When it works it can be not too hard to understand how to use.

Its ability to find a mirror is getting worse every month. Its copy protection gets in the way of legitimate use. My computer is far more likely to crash if it is running. If you buy a new computer, you can't transfer it without buying a new product.

It does its job, and works exceptionally fast after adjustment of Network Timeout option, as suggested by their support (very responsive guys, probably the best support service I have ever seen).

I used the full version of NetConceal Anonymizer 3.1.036.02 And the program would freeze up. I used it on 2 of my computers and no luck after about a second or 2 it would freeze up. I had to use the task manager to quit the program.

Easy to install and it really works.

However, there are better ones then this. It took what it seemed an eternity for it to look up an proxy. And considering that the proxy choices were very limited, there was no reason for it to take that long. If that wasn't enough, surfing with this thing on is sloooooow... And I'm using a broadband connection. It takes almost two minutes for a page to load up, when normally without the thing on, just a few seconds. Finally, the trial time is so limited, I was unable to do anything useful with it. Not that it matters much since I wouldn't run anything that crawls my net speed to 28k dial-up. If your looking for a good product, look elsewhere. I do suppose this might be in hand for short-time basis's for those who are extremely patient. Otherwise, its almost crap.

It seems to slow down internet connection, and distabilize connection somewhat (sometimes the pages don't load).
<p>It didn't let me get on my file-sharing network... a big bummer. well but the program does what is says, to hide your ip online. So I guess it's an ok program.

Downloaded and installed within a minute (less than 0.5 Mb:) and launched Internet Explorer under fake IP within another minute, really fast behavior. Tried different web sites (e.g. showmyip.com etc), works perfectly.

This product installed easily, without adware and malware, and I found it much easier to use than other products of its type. I checked whatismyip, and there was no match to the real IP. Options allow your own proxies, but it'll look up its own, making it simpler for those of us who aren't particularly computer-savvy. Easy to understand terminology. It seems to do its job.
Cons
You've got to keep the dialog box open for the program to run; no minimizing, but this is just a minor annoyance. Some programs of this type check to make sure the IP displayed has changed to the proxy IP, but apparently in this one, you've got to check yourself. Slowed the explorer, but not enough to be frustrating. Takes a minute to start up.
