Revealer Keylogger Free is a competent if unremarkable keylogger for Windows. It can run at startup, hide itself from users, and protect access with a password. But basic features such as screenshots and email notifications aren't available in the free version, and the program doesn't log IP addresses.

Pros

Free keylogger: Despite the freeware version's limits, Revealer Keylogger Free's active features are fully functional. It only records keystrokes and the programs they're entered in, such as IE, Chrome, or Word, but it does a good job of that.

Easy to use: A virtue of Revealer Keylogger Free's limited functionality is easy setup. Just choose whether you want to use a password and what to hide or show, press "Start" (or a hot key combo), and it does the rest.

Languages: Revealer Keylogger Free offers a variety of interface language and character options.

Cons

Too basic: Revealer Keylogger Free logs keystrokes and applications but not Web addresses or browser activity. If you enter a Web address manually, it will record the keystrokes, but not the IP or Web address.

Better tools are also free: We've seen plenty of freeware keyloggers that don't make you pay for screenshots or email notifications. Many add IP logging, desktop video recording, chat logging, and other features on top of that.

Bottom Line

Revealer Keylogger Free's biggest recommendation may be that it's free. That's something to consider when comparing premium tools, but there are even other freeware options that offer more tools and options than Revealer Keylogger Free, as well. We suggest you try other versions before settling on this one.

Basic functionality but works OK...
PrashantGogoiOctober 18, 2013
Pros
- Simple, straight-forward UI
Cons
- Limited functionality
Summary
Not a bad key logger if all you are interested in is logging keystrokes, period. Logging options available are keystrokes and screenshots and in the free version only keystrokes can be recorded. Delivery options can be defined but are disabled in the free version. Stealth functionality too is not available in the free version. Revealer Keylogger Free has very limited options in terms of functionality. In addition, this is further stripped off in the free version. But then it does record keystrokes well and has a very basic, simple UI. Go for it if that's all you need.
Does NOT WORK. Pure rubbish.

Pros
No positive features. None.
Cons
On my XP (and W7), both fully patched, I've recorded NOTHING. I'm not a ghost. Avoid.

Pros
Very easy to download and use. Looking at the keystrokes was very simple.
Cons
I had NO cons at all.
Summary
I installed this on my pc when my ex wife wanted to come back. Within a few weeks all the data I had and gave to my attorney we filed for divorce and I now have the house, kids and alimony. They argued in court that it was illegal but since I could prove it was done when we were seperated and it was my computer it was allowed as evidence. I have to say that this progam saved me from a nasty divorce and has made me happy now.

Pros
None - didn't work on my OS.
Cons
Didn't work on my win 7 machine. Worth paying for a software that records keystrokes as well as other stuff.
Summary
I ended up downloading the web watcher trial. Did everything I needed and more. Buying two copies for my home machines.
