This application may not look like much, but it does let you instantly hide windows. Mr. Hyde's drab but functional interface is divided into three sections. In the first, you can change the default hot keys to hide windows and call up the program's control panel. In the second, you can add items you want the program to hide by class or title. Lastly, you can designate windows the program should never hide. Mr. Hyde doesn't offer an option to hide all active windows, a feature found in other programs, but we like its simplicity and it worked flawlessly in testing. The program nicely runs in the background and doesn't show in the taskbar or in Task Manager's Applications tab, though it does appear in the Process tab. Though its scope may be limited, this freeware app can help any user manage active windows.

I can't imagine anyone would make such a software to let people idle off. A useless tool that does not facilitate anything except for one selfish gains.

Pros
Most programs like this, automatically hide everything you have open, which looks very suspicous to anyone who walks in to see you staring at your desk top. With this porgram, you can chose which programs it hides, allowing you to create the illusion you're working hard on an assignment.
Cons
Would be nice if there was a way to put more programs into the 'hide' list without having to open the program and manually select it from the menu. Still a good program though.

Runs off of USB thumb drive, very discreet. Hides only specific applications and has option to never hide certain apps. Doesn't just minimize to tray. <p> <p>It's free & no spyware.
