  Summary

  I was having a lot of trouble deleting all of the old software and I was repeatedly unable to download new software/driver from the Microsoft site despite numerous attempts and workarounds. This immediately worked and it corrected a sleep mode problem that the old software had been creating for months.

  Pros

  I am a middle-road gamer, and use gaming mice besides my Microsoft mouse. ITP 8.0 allows me to set my gaming inputs and keep them , instead of rolling over the settings.

  Cons

  I cna't think of any cons.

  Summary

  I use my desktop computer for a variety of functions, and the software for my Sidewinder X5 mouse (Microsoft) is one of amazing pluses to a multi-functional system.

  Software download and installation was flawless and fast

  MS compatibility check listed the mouse as non compatible or having issues with Windows 7 Short battery life Wheel button is hard to click (too much resistance), This may however be by design, to prevent accidental clicking when scrolling.

  Summary

  It's the best mouse I've ever used, Functionality exceeds Logitec hands down. The mouse design is ergonomic, at least for my hand. The buttons can be programmed for command line entry
