A most helpful desktop enhancement, Macroworx loses points only in our Windows XP test. The shortcut bars you create with Macroworx are convenient, flexible, and seemingly infinite when you make full use of submenus. Password protection and support for skins are nice touches. The program isn't greedy for memory, but we did find it difficult to launch in Windows XP. Macroworx Filing Cabinets is likely to please anyone looking to reduce the number of clicks it takes to launch programs and documents.
Very well done, organized, and user friendly program. Flat out kewl.

Pros
Everything! I have a massive amount of shortcuts all over my desktop, and half of them annoy the hell out of me. My start menu? Even worse! This program is really useful for organizing all your favorite files into one small, convenient window, which takes virtually no time at all to open. Now I'm not gonna say "it looks cool", cuz there is nothing to look at! It's just a small window, totally out of the way, and that takes up very little ram, which I'm extremely low on RAM(I've only got 128mb!)..."Macroworx Filing Cabinets" is an absolute must download for either the sloppiest person in the world needing to get organized, to the biggest neat freak ever wanting to take up less space, or simply do less work. Besides a few minor flows, this program is definitely worth downloading.
Cons
However, there are some problems that I have had with this program, such as the fact that when I try to open up SpyBot: S&D, it causes some stupid error and the whole thing closes down(thing being the filing program, along w/ spybot)...but when I have SpyBot: S&D as a shortcut on the desktop, it opens perfectly...so some programs screw up when you try to open them from the filing cabinet, but besides that, this program is worth downloading.

Especially since the developer pads the opinions with his own positive ratings. Very cheesy.
Made an unorganized person's life easier

Summary
As I'm not the most organized person around, filing cabinets has definitely made my work life easier. Being able to access my previously tough to find documents, favourites or pretty much anything I want to "file" has been excellent. I'd encourage anyone to give this product a go.. especially those who need the organizational help :)
Couldn't live without my cabinets

Filing Cabinets lets me puts everything I need right infront of me in a very simple, unobtrusive manner.
Most things I need to open at work can be accessed within 2 seconds - no multi-level menus to dig through, no screen space wasted.
Assigning short cut keys to buttons is pure magic - my most commonly needed apps and urls right at my fingertips: Windows-X for Excel, Windows-G for google.com, etc.
Neat little program - looks cool too!

Great alternative to storing project directory locations in your Favorites menu. And you can even assign a Windows key shortcut to stuff! Very cool indeed. Looks really nice too.

Not sure what product Marcus got this confused with?? Filing Cabinets unclutters your desktop...and they slide into the side of your computer, leaving behind just a little bar, so you don't even know they're there.
The cabinets save me heaps of time, especially at work...I put all the documents, programs and web pages I use frequently in them.
You can even colour code the cabinets to remember where you put things. :)
I think it's very cool....
