  Pros

  This program is one of the best programs I've ever owned. I can't live without it now. I use it to: 1) Automate keyboard and mouse functions that I use constantly. One stroke of a button saves me thousands of keystrokes. 2) Open websites and automate button clicks, etc. 3) I also use it with Microsoft's Speech Recognition program to automate processes at my voice command. It saves my sore and tired hands. 4) Automate responses to emails. I recommend this. Give it a try.

  None. I've contacted their support three times and each time got immediate relevant responses.

  I recommend this product to family and friends. Even if you aren't computer savy the tutorials and the newer functions that don't require coding experience are amazing. You'll save yourself a lot of repetitive strain and increase productivity instantly.

  Pros

  Very powerful but accessible to those who don't know a programming language. Good Help file, and lots of tips on the MJT Web site. Scripts can be created very quickly. Macros can be saved as .exe files, making them portable.

  Cons

  Learning curve (if your needs are very limited you might get away with a simpler program).

  Summary

  I've been using Macro Scheduler for more than a decade. Much more limited in its early years, it's grown to accommodate many techie demands and some of its exotic features are beyond me. But it still works well for non-technical people like me who like to automate things but don't want to become programmers.

  I was searching for a Macro program that could easily automate common tasks, but also seemlessly extend the functionality of my existing programs. <p> <p>Macro Scheduler is significantly more powerful than most alternatives for automating complex tasks. It also has some powerful plugins not mentioned in the product description. Frankly, there aren't many things you can't do with this product. <p> <p>Another big plus... This company is really interested in user feedback and has great support. <p> <p>Highly Recommended!

  Pros

  This automation product, is one of the few which I have strong mixed feelings about. <p> <p>1. The ability to mix in VBScript is absolutely brillant. If you are a VB users, than this feature is something to love. Its like VBScript on massive steroids. <p> <p>2. Can compile to .exe <p> <p>3. Many helpful tools to make script. <p> <p>4. Can be learned quickly. Futhermore, you are using VBScript commands which is a very widely accepted standard in the Windows world.

  Cons

  1. PRICE. Some nasty charges... <p> <p>2. Freeware competition is close to and superior to it in many areas. If you buy this product, AutoIt and AutoHotKey, may make you feel you wasted your money. AutoIt can do just about everything Macro Scheduler can do. <p> <p>AutoIT users have even made conversion scripts for switching VBScript code to AutoIt code. Therefore the transition for Visual Basic people is not too hard to easy. The AutoIt scripting language is as easy to a little bit easier to learn in comparison to VBScript. AutoHotKey's scripting language version is easier than VBScript and AutoIt to learn. <p> <p>4. WinBatch is arguably superior in many areas to Macro Scheduler. WinBatch is also technically superior to AutoIt and AutoHotKey as well. On top of this, WinBatch arguably does a better job at price/charges for its product. But WinBatch's scripting language can be equally to more difficult in comparison to VBScript, AutoIt, and AutoHotKey. <p> <p>5. Users of Macro Scheduler may also want to consider Limnor (codeless) programming system if they want to develop small applications. <p> <p>Overall, all of Macro Scheduler competition makes it really hard to say yes. BUT, it is a decent product and if you don't want to learn another complex scripting language and stick with VBScript than it might be the way to go for you.

  Pros

  Microsoft came in and said there was no way to automate a particular problem. I downloaded the app and had a working fix in one day. The learning curve was a wee bit steep, but nothing that couldn't be beaten. <p> <p>The product has incredible depth - if you just want to record mouse and key clicks it does that without a glitch. However, if you choose to delve into the real features the hand coding tools are as comprehensive as you could want. From simple tweaking in an intuitive script language to embedding VB and compiling into a stand alone exe - it's as powerful as you need it to be.

  Cons

  The only thing that got to me was in debug mode - the script runs from the cursor point. I've not yet found the setting that lets me run from the start each time, but I realise the benefits of the default settings.

  Pros

  I have accomplished my goal of automating Microsoft Street & Trips for showing real estate broker market data. <p>Point 1: The product works <p>Point 2: The product WORKS! Yippee! <p>Point 3: I thought that the tech support couldn't get any better than the pre-sale service, but I was wrong! Marcus in tech support virtually 'adopted' my project (visitation via remote desktop software provided by MJT [g])to help me in tutorial fashion with the actual code (not even just conceptual solutions, which would have been great, but in working out the actual code of my application). <p>The ONLY other company that comes close is Infragistics, and they sell a $1,000 package (including about $300 for their annual support). How Marcus can provide such terrific support for a $75 package is totally beyond my understanding, but I certainly appreciate this FREE support! I am a 'raving fan', and I would buy ANY software that I needed that MJT produced. I also plan to contract with the company for consulting on an extension of my project. The software is a GEM, and the support is one of the "top-two" support experiences that I have ever experienced before and after a software buy!
