MINDSTORMS Education EV3 Classroom lets students learn robotics with a hands-on approach. The free software provides an intuitive coding interface, so it's geared toward classroom use. It aims to make creating complex projects easier.

Top Recommended Alternative

  • Pros

    • Visual programming makes it easier to get started | Includes ready-made lesson plans and project ideas | Good for introducing robotics in schools | Free: can't argue with the price tag

  • Cons

    • Can feel limited once you get past the basics | The block-based coding might be too basic for older students | I wish there were more advanced tutorials
