  The scanner is rocognized by the computer, but is not recognized by the scan software. It is error ridden and useless. Think again before buying an HP scaner.

  we have wasted 100's of hours with this scanner. Hp will never see us buying any more of their products, their lack of support and indifference is incredible.

  As has been pointed out elsewhere, there is no driver on HP's site. This is not a driver.

  This driver or any newer ones at HP does not work as advertised. The newest driver is supposed to work with all Windows versions, including XP. It didn't work with Me or XP. USB doesn't work. HP tech support has no answers -- guess I have a useless scanner.
