• A good note-taking platform with probable tree-notes problem

  Pros

  I like the ability to open several files and switch to each by supplied tabs. Good, too, are the caption or subject lines provided for each note; this makes the tree cleaner and more informative.

  Cons

  GSNotes places the notes beneath folders on the tree; it makes no provision to add notes to a highlighted folder; and no option separate from the automated design of the program is provided to convert a folder to a note or to add a note to a folder . On and after creating a folder a level higher than the previous one GSNotes created only folders permitting no data entry. Tech support answered promptly that this problem was due to a glitch in my computer, but the result was the same on two other non-networked computers. But for this critical problem, GSNotes would be perfect for keeping legal research snippets.
