Glass Viper plug-in was designed to be a synthesizer with unique waveform shaping that has a deep and natural sense of movement. Instead of taking a sample or oscillator and applying just filters and FX techniques, Glass Viper bends the actual shape of its waveforms through a series of moving control points. Up to four of these swirling and changing sounds can be layered together to create a huge range of instruments. Glass Viper allows you to really shake things up with a deep, natural sense of movement.

Pros
Fast graphic update. The wave draw function is easy to use, and rather than just having to hand draw the wave you can actually grab points and it will smoothly move the lines automatically. It has a clipboard for easy transfer -- just copy and paste! The FXs and Pads are very unique, and I loved playing with this little synth! It can sound like a phat expensive analog synth or like a cheapy classic toy synth, depending on how you use it. I can easily spend hours messing around with it and making unique sounds. The design is also pretty cool -- you click on little "viper eyes" to turn things on and off... kinda cute. The presets are all well arranged by type and submenu rather than a HUGE menu to have to sort through. The 3 LFOs are nice, and the morph points on the waves make it really neat. Very professional plugin over all.
Cons
A tiny bit on the heavy CPU side for the sounds achieved, but not nearly as much as many other synths out there that cost mega $$$ -- I still never clocked over 15%. (Single 2.39 GHz P4 Sony Viao) If you like a bunch of expensive sounding reverbs and choruses built into your synth then this isn't the one for you (That's the downside, the chorus reminded me of those cheap Radio Shack reverb boxes from the eighties... of course that also has a unique sound that people go for). The typical ADSR envelope would benefit from an ability to shape (and morph!) it like the wavetable engine. It also could benefit from an ability to create FM synthesis (or I haven't found the interface to do so, yet) and an extra time based filter envelope wound be pretty cool.
Summary
This is a great little synth. It isn't overly large, or overwhelming when it comes to controls, and it's very customizable. Many of the sounds I achieved with it reminded me of the Wasp, but it's more like an uber Wasp, in that the awesome filters and shapers are very customizable. Though it seems like it was fabricated with Synthmaker, it is still very well made, and it has a cult following on KVR. It definitely cuts through a mix!

None, how can I use this when I have no directory labled "C:\Program Files\Steinberg\Vstplugins". The Author needs clearer definition.
Cons
Looks good, but is rendered useless by no program or installation. I hate when stuff is incomplete on CNET.
