Save, adjust, send, and print screen captures with flexible streamlined image management tool.

Gadwin PrintScreen allows much more flexibility with that Print Screen button at the top of your keyboard. Usually when you hit the Print Screen button it loads the current screen into your clipboard. To save the image you have to open up an image-editing application, paste it, then save the file. Gadwin's free PrintScreen streamlines this whole process. It sits in your System Tray, and you can set a number of options when you hit print screen (or whichever button you specify), you can choose to save the screen directly to a specific folder. You can also choose to save just a window, or a specific area of the screen. The application also gives you the option of sending the screen capture directly to your printer or as an email, and it will even automatically resize the picture to specified dimensions. You can select the type of image you want to save.

Great Product but their support is a ZERO

Great screen capture program.
Cons
Purchased the pro version, have emailed support numerous times over the past year, never once have i been contacted back, even emailed with my phone number and other email address's just in case it may be spam but still nothing. What good is a product if the support system behind it is non existant? Too bad, could be a five star product if they had a management team that gave two cents. Heck, i ever needed a 100 user licenses's and STILL never got a response...
Summary
Use the free version or find something else. DO NOT waste your money on this program as you will receive NO SUPPORT whatsoever.

The screen capture works well

There is now a widget which opens everytime you use this app. That's OK but when you're finished with the capture, the widget doesn't close. It has to be shut down manually. That's very annoying. In the options box there is a choice to show the widget (check the box) or don't show the widget (uncheck the box). I have unchecked it time and again and it just rechecks itself each time. There is an option to hide the widget. But then it peeks out at you with a blue streak on the left side of the screen. Too much for me.
Summary
What's really annoying is I have contacted Gadwin support twice now over the past several weeks, asking them about the widget situation. Also I asked if there was some way to install a previous version (before widget). They have not had the courtesy to reply.

I hate using print-screen sometimes. I don't like having no control until I edit the picture. This cuts out the middle man. Personal setup helps you choose the keys and method of capture. Would love to see a web page-capture.
Cons
Fan of version 4.7 Tried web-capture program for trial, wouldn't even let me have a trial. I try again every year or so. Would love to support them for all my captures, but getting to be some poor download experiences. Times must be tough!
Summary
Not sure where the end product will come and if they would got back to the primal version, but I know Windows 8 and Apple products are forcing everything into another age of expansion. Wish Windows 7 would have stuck around a little longer, but Windows 8 it is.

There isn't enough space to describe. Got a new Windows 8 computer and downloaded the print/screen program hoping to have what I had on my old computer. Big mistake. The "new and improve" came from some demented mind that obviously had not used the earlier version. I was difficult to just "click" and take a picture like before, after you "took" the picture the nightmare started, could not find where the file went (if anywhere). The one that "developed" this nightmare should be fired along with the one that approved it. I will try to get a new download of an earlier version.
Summary
If you want to know what: if ain't broken don't fix it, means, just download this masterpiece.

Had previous version, worked great, flexible. New version allows only PNG file save. Took forever to find where it saved the grab. It wasn't broke and didn't need fixing.

Great features,used to work fine.
Cons
kept dropping settings for a while, had to tweek the registry. Now, plain and simple, crashed whenever trying to use it. I'm on Windows 7 64 bits. Will move to another solution.
Summary
Was well made. Older version was perfect, newer ones buggy. Get something esle.

- easy to use - very productive for people who needs to take a lot of printscreens
Cons
- Some small bugs (floating widget appears sometimes even if it is configured to not appear) - The Professional version has no support. Sent a couple of emails 20 days ago and opened some tickets in their support area and I never received an answer. Use the free version, but DO NOT BUY the Professional version. It not worth it.
Summary
Overall the software is good, but this company does not respect their customers. If they only answered their emails I would indicate this for everyone, but if you do now want to be ignored, do NOT buy software from Gadwin company.

Ease of use; Straight forward instructions / operation; Can leave it as a TSR (always loaded) or exit after use; and Can automatically link to an editor directly after capture.

None that I've found.
Summary
This is your basic one-trick pony. Which is just fine with me. I don't need a built-in editor, if I want to edit the shot, I'll select to do it then. For the occasional screen shot that I need, this is the perfect app: one button, one screen shot with excellent quality.
