Flying Bit Password keeper launches a compact but cleanly designed, user-friendly interface that makes organizing your passwords according to type a very simple matter. We liked especially how the interface's toolbar included an icon that made saving the utility to a USB drive or other removable device so simple.

In our tests, this free utility performed very well. It's simple enough that novice users will easily master it. The ability to organize passwords in the directory by function added to the utility's ease of use and usefulness. We liked the detail it provided for the items associated with our passwords, and that we could choose from four encryption methods--AES (Rijnadael) 256-bit; AES (Rijnadael) 128-bit; Twofish; and Blowfish--which should be adequate for most personal use. Commercial and expert users will require more bells and whistles, and there are more robust encryption apps available, but most home users will find this freeware utility handy enough.

What’s new in version 1.5.0.52

Added anti-keylogger virtual keyboard, ability to manual check for new version, ability to duplicate passcards or groups, new passcard fileds icons.

Keep it simple, stupid!

It's simplicity is AMAZING! And you can install it on a USB drive!

It doesn't make a backup file on it's own. You have to do it manually. I got this wonderful program FREE so I think I can make my own backup files!!!
Summary
MAKE THOSE BACKUP FILES!!! After 2 years of use my keeper suddenly changed it's password for me!!! I asked the programmer what to do and he said " erase it and install it again, because there ain't no back door or master password, and you can't crack it. PERIOD "!!! I like the h*** out of that answer!!!

It looks tidy and I'm sure the security is good. It's relatively easy to use if the cons (below) are adapted to.
Cons
Having to create a "Passcard" then add discrete entries for every single field (username, password, URL, etc.) seems time-consuming compared to other apps that put all data in a single dialog. The inability to sort entries alphabetically seems odd, and could become an issue with many entries, though you can drag them manually into order. There's no auto-typing into forms either, but that's acceptable considering it's a basic app. For years, I found another freeware app called "Password Corral" to be ideal, GUI-wise, though it crashed on me once too often and I lost trust in it. I was hoping this app would be similar in its interface.

It also seems to have no provision to automatically time-out to the Tray and lock itself, so you have to be diligent and do that manually if your computer as a whole lacks a screen time-out password. Fairly simple to operate. Master password to lock out all other passwords you don't have to remember. Encrypted for security.
Cons
Doesn't save last used settings like collapsed tree. Can't organize according to alphabetical order.

Essential program to maintain security, and have different passwords for all the websites, and programs you use.

At first made sure you always back up the file for extra safety..A update may backfire w/bug in program You will lose passwords.

This program establishes a permanent connection to a unkmown remote server located in Ukraine. Develpors didn't answered what's the necessity of this connection and it purpose. Till then - its SCAM. It brokes yout privacy!!

It's easy enough. It may take you a little bit of time to figure it out, but it's not a overly difficult endeavor.
Cons
I would like to organize in alphabetical order so I can easily find the passwords I want. I also would like to rename my password file, however the change only works in Windows Explorer, not in FlyingBit Password Keeper.
Summary
Just minor cons in this program, but otherwise it does a good job. I have not had any of my passwords stolen so far, and I keep a lot of passwords in this program.
