Incorrect key handling

I have not yet tried this product, but it has a feature that I have been looking for; in decrypting it applies whatever key it is supplied without regard to whether it is the correct key. An incorrect key will produce an invalid output. If this program is used as a second stage encryption where the first stage creates a file with no header that appears simply as a file of random data, this would GREATLY increase the difficulty of a brute force attack. This is the first instance of this feature I have discovered.

Do we REALLY need yet one more file encryption utility ? Unbelievable that someone would even waste their time writing something like this.. Was it a homework assignment in Freshman High School Programming 101?
