This single-function software is designed to change filenames and extensions, but its faulty performance and lack of extra features will leave you unimpressed. File Manager has an elementary but logically organized interface. Simply select a drive from the drop-down list, browse for the file, fill out the New File Name field, and press the Change button. In testing, we experienced some runtime errors that caused the program to terminate abruptly. It doesn't work with multiple files, so it basically duplicates existing Windows functionality. Considering this application's limited capabilities and flawed performance, it isn't a bargain, despite being offered as freeware.
