Conveniently switch your screen's display resolution from the system tray with DisplaySwitch Platinum. This program doesn't have an interface; it simply resides in your system tray for you to easily access numerous resolution settings with a trouble-free right click. Interchangeable display settings are available in several 4-bit, 8-bit, 16-bit, and 32-bit color resolutions. Just select a setting and the program immediately applies it. Just right click the Display Switch icon on the system tray, and choose the colour depth and resolution, that's it. If you want to change the colour depth and resolution, right click the icon again on the system tray and choose. Sooooooo Simple......
Cons
Nothing ya all. I mean it. Nothing. However, I've also downloaded Display Switch Gold and found it's just the same file with Display Switch Platinum. Is there any mistakes in the database, or are they trully the same file.

Convenient way to change Windows Display Settings parameters.
Cons
Doesn't support dual monitors. Doesn't allow you to set custom nor widescreen resolutions. I'd like to switch back and forth between my monitor's 4:3 resolution and my HDTV's widescreen resolution. However, this program doesn't allow for widescreen res.

The product seems to do what it says, although I couldn't find any evidence of the ability to use a settings file as suggested in the other reviews.
Cons
The "support" website is just an online pharmacy, no evidence of any support for the software. I just hope the software isn't infected with spyware too.

This program gets a big thumbs up from me for the ability to change res just by double-clicking on the .dsdf file that you can create. The only thing it needs is an option to automatically switch to a specified resolution on windows start or on program start. But you can always put the .dsdf file in your startup group and have it run that way...
