Monitor disk drive status but don't look for any other features in this basic utility. Even though it doesn't have a help file, this program has an interface that's easy to understand and that displays disk drive and volume information. Disk Monitor uses information from the system's existing diagnostic tools, SMART and SPF, and adds a user interface to display system status with simple indicators. A green icon indicates the drive and volume are OK. A yellow icon warns the user that drive failure is predicted or that volume limits are exceeded. The program refreshes automatically every two hours, though you can manually refresh at any time. Disk Monitor does exactly, and only, what its name implies. You'll find no repair functions or other features. Anyone concerned with disk drive status may appreciate this single-function application.
