A free collection of various utilities, Calendar Magic allows you to perform actions that are related to calendars and time-keeping in general. While the software does come with over 60 features, it is not meant to be used as a day-to-day calendaring solution, being more like a Swiss Army knife of many unrelated utilities.

Pros

Multiple calendar formats: Calendar Magic comes packed with over 30 calendars, including religious, national, and even historical ones like the French Revolutionary Calendar. In addition to viewing them, you can also compare them side-by-side.

Date and time calculators: You can add and subtract days, weeks, months, and years from a given date and view the results immediately. The same option is available for time calculations involving days, hours, minutes, and seconds.

Multitude of other options: There's no shortage of features when it comes to this application. You'll find more than 60 distinct options that range from utilities telling you when you would reach your 10,000th day alive, to taking notes and creating reminders, to using a world clock, to doing completely unrelated tasks like using a scientific calculator.

Cons

Basic interface: Although the interface is straightforward, it is also very basic, displaying nearly all output as words in a large text box, rather than graphical objects. On the bright side, the text is usually well formatted, so the app is quite usable.

Poor reminders implementation: Adding reminders is a very convoluted process. Additionally, there is no way for reminders to display alerts on your desktop or in any other manner.

Bottom Line

Despite its name, Calendar Magic should not be used as a time management solution due to its very limited capabilities in this regard. Its main use is to find answers to any time and date questions you might have. If you take the time to study the "Math Utilities" and "Other Utilities" menus, you will find other uses for it as well, although these can be replaced in most cases with a quick Google search.

Pros
Easy installation and operation. Works reliably. Nice accessory features. Dazzling array of different calendar formats.
Cons
The event description field is a bit limited; would like room for more characters. Latest version, v18, sometimes gives error message and freezes when I attempt to close program. Would recommend v17 to avoid this.

Good replacement for Microsoft Address book.

Pros
15 pages to save addresses, phone numbers are important notes. Shows all your scheduled appointments you have recorded on start of computer. Monthly Calendars are available to view.
Cons
No cons that I can think of.
Summary
I downloaded this to replace the address book that Microsoft eliminated from their operating system starting with Windows Vista. The pages can be copied, saved and pasted which prevents loss of information when computer needs repair.

A myriad of tools available for people interested in calendars. Has a very diverse amount of calculator utilities.
Cons
Access to help only available through the main screen not on each screen. Planning calendars are of limited format. Color selection of screens is limited. Reminders are limited. Return to the main screen message not consistent.
Summary
This is an interesting software program designed for people that use more than just a Gegorian Calendar system for dates. A number of different calendars (e.g., Hebrew, various Hindu, Islamic, Farsi, etc.) are available to the user. On installation and first use you are asked to identify the country your in and a town near you to set the time which can be easily changed. Date conversions, days between dates, religious festivals (for a wide variety of religions), and other so-so useful date information is provided (Olympiads, dates of reign for English monarchs). The variety of the utilities provided is amazing. The calculators are primarily designed for specific use -- although a general scientific calculator is provided. Biorhythm, Body Mass Index, Blood Alcohol, pregnancy, and ovulation calculators are also available and interesting to try. The help menu is very good, but only available by returning to the main screen which delays computational work. Modifying the color options is very limited. Only grey or a light blue is allowed although individual screens can be changed. Overall, if you are just looking for a fairly straightforward calendar program or personal information manager -- this in not the one. It is loaded with all kinds of functions and utilities that most users will find novel to use, but not useful for their work. However, if you are doing international work or communicating with people from other countries this calendar program may be very useful for you. If you are interested in comparing calendars from different regions or calendaring systems than this is the software for you.

If you want a very good calendar program this is it. It simply gets better with age. There are so many different calendars. Also so many different calculators.

Maybe a popup option would be nice for ugent reminders.

I absolutely got more than what I bargained for. But I am very forgetful and would have loved a pop-up reminder, (something small in a corner on the computer) that I could set until a certain time of the day, that can remind me to do stuff.

I had hoped for a program with different printable calenders, and one to stay on top of screen. This is not it. It can not be set to startup at Ur choice
