BlueGriffon is a new WYSIWYG content editor for the World Wide Web. BlueGriffon is an intuitive application that provides Web authors (beginners or more advanced) with a simple User Interface allows creating attractive Web sites without requiring extensive technical knowledge about Web Standards. Because Gecko lives inside BlueGriffon, the document you edit will look exactly the same in Firefox. Advanced users can always use the Source View to hard-code their page.

Even if you did not create a Web page using BlueGriffon and you used other formats, BlueGriffon can deal with it, providing you with intuitive User Interface to modify your data.

BlueGriffon has its own CSS parser, JSCSSP. That parser written in JavaScript and the CSS styles you author are understandable by all the browsers on the market. If a given CSS property or CSS value, even currently prefixed like -moz-transform, has a direct equivalent for one of the other browsers, BlueGriffon will output it. BlueGriffon includes the SVG editor SVG Edit and you can then draw vector graphics from within BlueGriffon to embed them into your documents.

I purchased the full version of BlueGriffon 2.1.1, and have been defrauded. The single reason I purchased it was to get the advertised auto-thumbnail feature --- but after buying it immediately discovered that this feature is faulty. It does not resample the thumbnail, and is thus utterly useless. BlueGriffon has admitted that the thumbnail feature is not working properly but says that it will work properly in a future version. This does me absolutely no good, so I have have asked for a refund and a deactivation of my license. No one at BlueGriffon even responds to my emails.
Summary
So, I have been robbed by BlueGriffon. The program may work for those who do not use those aspects that are faulty, but the company has no integrity.
Worthy successor to Kompozer

Pros
Good for editing sites, or for creating new ones. Though obviously not a tool for pros, I found everything I needed without having to get addins which seem very reasonably priced. This is the best your gonna get for free or nearly free.
Cons
No major, could always be better. Support is not the best or quickest
Summary
Pretty good tool. Worth a try and much better than Kompozer which many rave about, but which hasn't been updated since 2010, and probably won't be.
No way to set how to open an http link, poor support

Pros
I was drawn to the fact that this program allegedly (not been able to try it yet) allows you to edit in both preview and html environments.
Cons
Despite having verified in Firefox that Firefox is my default browser, BlueGriffon required me choose a program to open an http link, in order to install addons such as any sort of ftp functionality at all, to preview web pages in my web browser, or to get to anything at all on the developer web site from the program interface. Search to select program to open an http link with can't find firefox. When I found wehre someone posted online where to find the program to open firefox, I was in business. However the only help is a user guide for which one must pay 7.50 EUROS (which maybe explains the underlying attitude problem?), and posting a question on help forums requires waiting for a moderator to approve it, not at all useful if one has a question on Friday. The last time this program was updated was 2013. There is no way the developer is not aware of this problem. The developer simply does not care.
Summary
Poor functionality, poor help support, and this bug-ridden program has not been updated in two years.
