Agnihotra for Windows is a helpful tool for people who wish to perform Agnihotra, especially beginners. This tastefully done program takes the ritual seriously and contains plenty of informative resources.

The program's interface is simple and attractive, although most of its functions are accessed by right-clicking on the program's icon in the system tray, and some of the menus-within-menus could be better organized. The program is still fairly easy to navigate, and we had no trouble adjusting the settings to our liking. The heart of Agnihotra for Windows is its reminder feature, which alerts users before sunrise and sunset so they can prepare for Agnihotra. The program helpfully asks for the user's location upon setup, so that the times used for sunrise and sunset are exact. The program also contains a printable calendar of times that can be used to plan ahead for the ritual. Several settings are available for the ritual itself; in Office mode the program discreetly and silently reminds users of the coming ritual, while Training mode shows large audible alerts and then displays and plays a recording of the ritual's mantras. The program's online User Guide gives a decent explanation of the program's features, and a built-in tutorial explains the steps involved in Agnihotra and allows users to listen to and practice the mantras.

Agnihotra for Windows is free. It installs without issues but leaves a folder behind upon removal. We recommend this program to all users.

Version 2.0.4 adds a feature for 24 hour/12 hour time format selection fixed internet retrieval of geonames data (the format of data has been changed) fixed a minor bug in countdown beeper, returned old beeper sound few minor fixes changed icon in the installer.

I like the fact that it teaches the montra's, and thewhole set up from begainning to end on what to do. that is the best. even a two year old can folow this program.

it does not run well on my vesta system it seems like it only runs in a low moniter setting.

one thing I seen wrong from the beginning is the time for the sunset and sunrise is off and I don't know how to set it to the almenac's time for my area. the best thing about it is that it teaches the montra's, and the setup which is very easy to follow. I am new to this but have learned the montra's from the program. I also learned how to set it up from the program. so i would give this program a 95%. I just think the time should be adjustable for areas not on the programs list. you guys did a great job wth this programs both thumbs up!
Finally an easy-to-use software package for Agnihotra.

Agnihotra for windows is easy to setup and even easier to use- you literally forget about it! Every day before sunrise and sunset it pleasantly reminds you and guides you through the daily practice of Agnihotra. Wonderful to see technology finally being used for the benefit of existence.

This software is wonderful that it is a very good reminder to do Agnihotra in precise time wherever we are. If some times we couldn?t do Agnihotra for some reason virtually it?s performing that. There are many software in the net, but this is unique one and it creates awareness about the environment we are in. People need this kind of help from software people also because, this can reach more people quickly. We are enjoying this and expecting more related to health and healing. Thanks for this real contribution.

This is an awesome piece of software and leagues ahead of other agnihotra related software that I have tried. It's very user friendly and the thing I love most about is that it is taht I just select my location and it calculates the exact sunrise and sunset timings for any major location in the world - all automatically and from there I can print out a monthly calendar of the timings. Another great feature is that if I am working at my computer the program automatically reminds me everyday of that days agnihotra time through a pop up. It even has a training mode which has a recording of the mantras - so its great for folks who's pronunciation might be a little off or for newbies to Agnihotra who still need to learn the mantras. All in all a great software tool which just makes doing agnihotra that much easier.

The software is simple and intuitive and does all that is needed to help you remember the timings no matter where you are located. Even if your location is not found there is an online search of millions of locations worldwide so wherever you are you will be covered.
