This download provides support for HP Notebooks running either Windows Vista (32, 64 bit) or Windows 7 (32, 64 bit) operating systems. Enhancements:"Get Assistance" Contact options from HP and others. Provides new troubleshooting resources for the network, battery, hard drive, and CD/DVD drive. Improves navigation with the addition of a Navigation bar. Improves the Action view for managing actions from HP. Actions are now grouped as Important, Recommended, and Tips and color-coded to make them easier to recognize. Also, Apply Selections are now positioned in front of the action so they are easier to choose and apply. Improves the HP Customer Improvement Program.The program now includes more information about how HP Support Assistant and other HP applications are being used to help HP improve the user experience and support options in the future. Adds an HP Feedback button, which enables users to provide feedback at any time. Improves alerts by no longer showing alerts when no actions are pending. Improves software update reliability to deliver more updates from HP automatically.

The same BIOS have been updated several times now. But still the "assistant" ask me to download and update it. It also download outdated drivers so I lost control over sound, wifi and my external IPS monitor. HP have no proper support, so I ended up searching for other softwares.
In the end I had to download another program to get my drivers updated. It solved all problems caused by HP except the BIOS update.
Summary
All in all I will not buy any HP products anymore, due to severe problems with my laptop and also printer without HP care a bit.

I would not recommend this for most laptops unless there is a problem and the technicians need help in finding the problem. Otherwise, needs work to be truly useful.

This has been an ongoing problem program for well over a year. Reverting to a prior release causes no connection to checking for changes. Current release does not install.
