Pros
At least the hardware works using another company's app. Video only runs in preview window with or without the audio cords attached to DVC 80. Need to try it with audio cords direct from VCR to the computer's audio card inputs.
Cons
Download was never accomplished. Pinnacle should accept all their serial nos., registered or not, for software type downloads on their outdated and/or no longer supported products, as well as other partners' products.
Summary
*Rating based on application's other reviews and average ratings from other sites. My DEDICATED BURNER COMPUTER is NEVER ONLINE. It has no WiFi or MODEM internet connections. To run hardware, apps., etc., I download into another computer with net access, then transfer via a thumb drive to the Dedicated Burner's hard drive. I also use the install CD-Roms that come with the original package. Companies that require frequent connections to the web to update or use their applications are a major HASSLE for this type of setup(which helps keep malware/virus exposure to a minumin for that 'puter). It would help if such a requirement was stated on the outside of the packaging, saving all involved time and trouble. I will now have this knowledge to further guide me as I continue my search for the hardware/software that should work for my situation.
