If you install and uninstall lots of programs like we do, sometimes you're left with context menu options that are no longer valid. This program lets you manage your context menu, but make sure you read the Help file before getting started.

1-abc.net Right Click Configurator has a very clean user interface that is pretty easy to understand. All of your context menu options are listed in a large window and are grouped together by availability. For example, certain entries, such as file encryption, are only available by right-clicking on a file, while others are only available by right-clicking on a folder. Thanks to the straightforward commands buttons, removing and deactivating entries required only a single mouse click. Adding and editing new entries required a little more work and a visit to the Help menu. To add and edit an entry, we had to specify the type of entry, the name, and the command line. However, we were a little confused by the parameters option. The Help menu didn't really offer any kind of explanation, other than that you needed to make sure the added program could work with the parameters. But it was also in the Help menu that we came across a little tidbit of info regarding Vista users and deactivating the UAC to ensure that the program works correctly. We didn't deactivate our UAC, and we didn't have any issues.

We weren't impressed by the brief, 10-day trial period, but it should be plenty of time to get a clear picture of what this program is about. Recommended for intermediate users and above.

Developer's Description

Edit the context menu of Windows Explorer.
1-abc.net Right Click Configurator allows Windows users to edit the context menu they see when they use the right mouse button in Windows Explorer. From a very easy-to-use interface they get all these connections to Windows features and external programs. De-activating such an entry is just one click, activating it again is only one click as well. Customized entries that can be started with any command line can also be added by the user.
