  • What information does webHancer Customer Companion collect? webHancer Customer Companion unobtrusively measures DNS lookup, TCP connect and web-page download performance, which includes the following types of measurements: DNS Lookup Time, Response Time, Network Round Trip Time, Load Time, Connection Delay, Access Speed.
  • Why are these measurements relevant? These measurements are relevant to the Internet community in that they allow for the qualitative analysis of the end-user experience. These measurements also help to pinpoint the cause of poor browsing performance; be it the network, the host web site or the local computer (end user).
  • How does it work? As you surf the web, webHancer Customer Companion collects information such as the speeds and delays that you are surfing at and sends them back to the webHancer server.
  • How will it benefit me? webHancer Customer Companion sends information about web sites you have visited back to a webHancer server. This information is used by e-business sites to help improve the performance on their site, in turn improving the surfing experience of end-users like you.
