From the developer: pcInternet Patrol is a managed Internet security subscription program, a product supported with service, that provides "real time" security solutions 24/7. It provides maximum protection with minimum user involvement.

Subscribers do not have to make critical security decisions. Once installed, the subscriber's computer is shielded from intrusion and continuously checked for vulnerabilities. If any threat, breach of privacy or intrusion is detected, relevant information is forwarded to ISA's shared centralized database for an automated response. If an automated response cannot be generated, the request will then be forwarded to our security specialists for further evaluation. Once evaluated the subscriber will be advised the appropriate action.

Stops all intruders known and unknown, trying to send or receive data. It only allows those programs or files that it can positively identify as "good" or "legitimate" to send or receive data. Any program that cannot be positively identified as good is treated as "potentially dangerous". This ensures that any new, unknown malicious programs cannot slip through pcInternet Patrol(tm) and into a subscriber's computer unnoticed. It finds 2 times more potentially dangerous programs than other leading personal firewalls.

It uses a unique algorithm that not only looks for ".exe" files, but also uses proprietary technology to pin point the actual module trying to send or receive data over the Internet. Our experience shows that ".dll" files communicating over the Internet actually outnumber ".exe" files by a 2 to 1 margin! Provides the latest program definitions without the need to ever update.

All subscribers share our centralized database; once a program/module or email attachment is identified it "updates" our centralized database as known (whether legitimate or malicious) in real time, and automatically and simultaneously protects all subscribers globally.
