kJams is a karaoke software jukebox for Mac OS X and Windows. It's just like iTunes, except there's also karaoke lyrics on the screen (or on the TV) that follow along with the song, showing you what to sing next. Kind of like "follow the bouncing ball". If you really want to be professional, the Pro version can also manage a list of singers and keep track of who is up next. Typically you buy special CDG discs to use for karaoke, which are just like regular CD's except they have graphics in them too, showing you karaoke song lyrics. You put the CDG into your computer and play it, or you can "rip" the songs (ie: import them from the CDG onto the computers's hard drive), then you can play them whenever you want even without the CDG. Supports burning of mix discs with a separately sold plugin.

Pros
I downloaded the trial version over a year ago, and couldn't believe it worked! I upgraded to the Pro version and was thrilled.
I have tried lots of programs, machines, formats, etc. I couldn't even tell you how many hours I have invested in trying to get other programs or equipment to work. I wanted to sing, yet I was stuck in a quagmire of computer mumbo jumbo!!! The singing became secondary.
If you want a program that is USER FRIENDLY, this is it!
If you to sing, this is it!
If you THINK you can't afford this program, you will be glad to know
that this is the BEST BARGAIN ever.....even at twice the price!
If you need help (like I did), this is it!!! Dave will help!!!

Hummmmm, let me see. There is just one, it was simpler than I was I able to get my head around. I was just snake bit. The simplicity is overwhelming.
