Publisher's description
From klarita :This useful FREE tool allows you to set up watch folders and to evaluate whether there are any new tracks in them which do not exist in iTunes, and allows you to add them selectively or fully automatically. It can be run as a taskbar process and so will continually monitor the watch folders, alternatively it may be run in the foreground on demand. Version 2.0.1.6 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.

Version: iTunes Folder Watch 2.0.1
"AWESOME!!! Should come with iTunes"
Pros: Installed on a Win XP and a Vista machine. Worked perfectly on both. Unbelievable. Apple wants to tie you down to the iTunes music store and this little program sets you free. Install it and never think twice about reloading iTunes databases and duplicate imports.
Cons: Doesn't automatically import WMA files.

Version: iTunes Folder Watch 2.0.1
Pros: I ended up with thousands of duplications of tracks on a NAS. I have had to delete and re-build my iTunes library several times because of the way iTunes behaves when you import music from a folder. This should solve my problems.
Cons: It is a bit buggy, but I'm running it in Vista (in administrator mode as suggested) but nothing serious. Shame it does not spot WMA files. At least all my newly ripped CDs will be imported automatically (I now rip only in MP3).
Summary: If like me you are going mad trying to use iTunes in conjunction with a shared music folder that also serves other people in your home, Media Centre etc. This could be your answer.

Version: iTunes Folder Watch 2.0.1
"Pretty useful, but painful to use"
Pros: Great to be able to sync up iTunes across libraries on a single machine. Interface is uncomplicated and straightforward. Intuitive.
Cons: Several glitches, including an inexplicable and unpredictable tendency to forget which folders you set up to watch, an inability to delete all the broken links at once, and frequent and annoying (minor) error messages.
Summary: While the basic idea is great, and the user interface is thankfully simple and straightforward, I find the bugs and oddities of using this painful. I would feel much more enthusiastic about Folder Watch if it more reliably remembered which folders ... read more >>

"Great Tool I've been waiting for!"
Pros: Has an exclusions feature that makes sure you do not get multiples of the same song.
Cons: None discovered so far.
