Designed to help you move the contents of your iPod back to a PC, this program is mostly a successful affair. Once your MP3 player is hooked up to your computer, simply fire up iPodRip and you'll see a list of all tracks. You can download individual or multiple tunes to your computer, or you can just hit the Import All button to move everything. In our tests, transfer speeds were decent, but we got error messages for every WAV file on our iPod. Since there's no information about supported codecs in the help files, we're not sure if this is a bug or just something that's beyond the application's scope. Still, we did appreciate the basic, built-in audio player, which even boasts a shuffle mode. If you can live with the performance complaint described above, you'll find iPodRip a user-friendly and efficient find.Publisher's description

Version: iPodRip Win 2.8
Cons: I have a 40G iPod. iPodRip asked me to connect it to my computer, it showed a "Loading iPod Data" and wouldn't stop for hours. When I disconnected the iPod, the titles are there but it won't play any song. I'm completly upset because my computer had crashed and I was trying to recover my songs.
