For news and podcast junkies, an RSS reader has become a tool as indispensable as a Web browser. eRSS Reader is a bare-bones but simple program for subscribing to and managing this kind of syndicated content. Adding or deleting a news channel such as a blog or podcast is a breeze, and the software subsequently notifies a user whenever a new article or item is posted. Users can search for newsfeeds and view full article texts without quitting the program, or create search folders that display articles based on keywords. The program also syncs with iPods. On the minus side, the software doesn't allow users to customize how articles are displayed. Nevertheless, we recommend the program to news junkies addicted to instant updates from their favorite Web sites.

"Crashed and lost my feeds after 1st run. Couldn't close"

Pros
When it ran the first time, it was great! I think there is a corrupt file or something, because it was good software.
Cons
After adding 8 feeds the first time I ran it, and changing some preferences, I ran it a 2nd time, and all the feeds and most of the prefs were gone. It wouldn't close, it crashed. Something needs urgent work
Summary
Just a corrupt file or some major problem- otherwise could be good. Dont' download eRss Reader or Tristana Rss Reader (same thing) till this is fixed

First,It tries to sell some sort of subscription to feeds that are otherwise free.Then,regardless of which options you chose,the program starts itself with windows and plays havoc with all other programs,including disabling my firewall temporarily while it opens.it also caused errors in msn internet software. stay far away from this one. I download hundreds of programs and this is one of the worst I have ever seen.
