Sometimes the vagaries of eBay sellers require buyers to try out a variety of spellings--or misspellings--in the site's search engine to turn up just the item they're looking for. This handy toolbar does all that work for you.

Frequent eBay users will be pleased with the eBay Misspell Search Toolbar, which attaches to your browser, and happy that it works with both Internet Explorer and Firefox. Not as cluttered with icons as some other toolbars, this plug-in offers a relatively easy-on-the-eyes appearance by employing drop-down menus instead of buttons for individual options: a search field; a drop-down list for a number of eBay locations; another drop-down for frequently used eBay pages; a third drop-down of privacy tools; and a toggle for a pop-up-blocking feature.

In our tests, the toolbar performed very well, responding quickly to our searches. It came up with 59 variations of the two-word search we entered, including making the two words into one (which proved quite fruitful). The added tools worked fine, except the Clear Address Bar option--neither browser responded to that command.

Even with that flaw, this free toolbar should prove very handy for any power eBay buyers and sellers looking for an easy way to find listings.
