Along with its effective and easy-to-use firewall protection, ZoneAlarm with Antivirus adds virus features and security controls. The most notable improvement in this latest release is an enhanced triple-layer firewall, which now safeguards your machine's OS and Registry. ZoneAlarm's wizard makes configuring a firewall incredibly easy. Maintaining and updating settings also is a snap when using the application's stylish interface and its simple slider controls. Experts will appreciate options that let them set up custom rules. The program's Zones feature also allows you to assign different security levels for a local network and for the Internet. We found ZoneAlarm with Antivirus very good at recognizing and automatically including settings for our local network. In all our tests, the firewall guarded against all external and internal threats it encountered.
Beyond the firewall function, ZoneAlarm with Antivirus includes an antivirus scanner, based on Computer Associates' Vet Anti-Virus, that blocks both incoming and outgoing viruses. The most intriguing aspect of this feature is its Advanced Heuristic Detection algorithm, which uses behavior analysis to detect suspicious actions caused by brand-new viruses that haven't yet made it into the virus-definitions database. Though this version of ZoneAlarm lacks the privacy and identity features of the Pro version, users who are satisfied with their existing privacy-protection tools may find ZoneAlarm with Antivirus fits their needs.

Version: ZoneAlarm with Antivirus 5.5.062.011
Pros: Excellent Firewall, without all the problems of its bigger brother-ZA Pro. The antivirus works quickly and effectively, with the backing of Etrust Computer Associates. Excellent basic antivirus.
Cons: None so far. No blue screens or computer lockups.

Version: ZoneAlarm with Antivirus 5.5.062.011
Pros: 1) Low on resoures than Norton, mcafee, trendmicro
2) The best firewall in the market. Does not leave much job for antivirus..blocks malacious codes right at the door steps.
3) Computer associates Antivirus is quite reliable.
4) No false alarms
Cons: 1) Advanced settings might be confusing..but it gives you sufficient advice to take decisions.
2) Antivirus goes on blocking system
resources over time. after 8 hrs, it was consuming 4 times the resources than at the start. ( releases them after restart)
But overall... with this package..You really don't have to worry about anything...gives peace of mind...

"Top-notch set-and-forget security, privacy & ID Vault"
Pros: Antivirus, firewall, privacy control, IM security, ID lock; all easy to understand and require very little in the way of input from you to get up and running.
So far (2 years of Zone Alarm to date), I've suffered nothing worse than a tasteful warning box every now and then when a possible intrusion attempt, etc., occurs.
