As the developer promises, ZSoft Uninstaller is indeed far superior to the native Windows program uninstaller. The freeware first runs the unwanted program's original uninstall option before cleaning up with its own technology. But for a more thorough uninstall, ZSoft Uninstaller offers an analyze function that you can use during the initial installation of programs to track exactly which files are being added to your system.
Later, when you want to uninstall a program, you can click the Analyzed Programs tab and rest assured that when you uninstall the program every associated file will be included. The search box for finding specific programs and the capability to get rid of temporary files are nice additions to this free program.
ZSoft Uninstaller works well, although it's not as robust as some other free uninstallers out there. Even though it may not have all the chrome of the competition, when it comes to getting its core task done--uninstalling unwanted apps--ZSoft Uninstaller is a good choice.
Publisher's description
From ZSoft Software :An uninstall utility that are superior than the build-in function in Microsoft Windows, and allows you to search, delete entry's from programs that is no longer installed, automatically find entry's from programs that are most likely already uninstalled, and hide entries from the list that you are never going to uninstall making the list smaller and therefore easier to manage.
It automatically find entry's that are considered crap-ware, export the current list to a TXT file, show more information than available though add/remove, find and delete temporary files, and analyze an installation so it can be completely uninstalled. Version 2.3.3 has improved windows update filter. A undelete all button in the backup-part of the temp file finder. Now sorts correctly when sorting the size column in the TMP file finder. Several bug-fixes. The install script has been updated: If you choose to uninstall ZSoft Uninstaller it will, if you answer yes when asked, remove everything.

Version: ZSoft Uninstaller 2.3.3
"Only free uninstaller of its kind"
Pros: There are other free uninstallers available, but they act in the same way to windows add/remove programs. They don't really uninstall, they just launch the programs' built-in uninstallers, so you need a registry cleaner to delete all the trash these programs leave behind. They don't do what Zsoft uninstaller does, namely: to analyze an installation, so that you can later uninstall the program file by file. There are not many freebies that do this, as far as I know. ZSoft takes a snapshot of your system before and after installation, and compares both, so that you know what files have been added, what folders have been created, etc. In case the program you're installing requires a reboot, ZSoft has a very useful feature which allows you to "finish an analysis that has already been started". Analyzing both before and after installation takes a couple of minutes at most, so it's very quick. When uninstalling, you can choose to uninstall file by file or trust Zsoft and let it uninstall en masse. It gives you a detailed log of what has been removed. ZSoft seems to be quite safe, it won't remove anything that shouldn't be removed. I've used it to install and uninstall several programs and never had any problems.
Cons: The GUI could be better. Besides, whenever I uninstall, a message appears saying that some files couldn't be removed, so the program is not 100% effective. But it's free, the only free uninstaller that analyzes installations.

Version: ZSoft Uninstaller 2.3.3
"Able to analyze installations for a complete uninstall."
Pros: I am very happy with the overall quality of the application. The ability to analyze the installation of a program is great if you download a lot of software and are worried about them leaving things behind. It also keeps trying to remove things left behind by a stubborn component in use at the time of uninstall until it is no longer in memory.
Cons: Slow analyzing process,
Not the cleanest interface

Version: ZSoft Uninstaller 2.3.3
Pros: Unfortunately, no pros.
Cons: It won't uninstall programs I have trouble with. The original windows uninstaller is pretty much the same.
