Computers inevitably accrue a mass of unwanted and unused files that eat up system resources and reduce system stability. Uninstalling these items can be an arduous task, but Your Uninstaller 2006 simplifies the process considerably.
The interface is attractive and handy, whether you run in Basic or Pro mode. We prefer Pro, which provides additional features for organizing your start-up items, contextual menus, and temporary files, and lets you drag and drop a program's icon to the uninstaller's icon to remove the program. The utility provides a far more comprehensive list of installed software than the standard Add/Remove Programs feature in Windows, and it removes programs more rapidly and thoroughly. It quickly scans for unnecessary files without taxing system resources. It can clean up files and Registry keys that past uninstalls have left behind; it can even uninstall itself.
Your Uninstaller 2006 would suit casual users more than serious system tweakers, but it manages the process of uninstalling programs efficiently and intuitively.

Version: Your Uninstaller 2006 5.0.0.360
Pros: I bought it before this release, when I was using "XP". My upgrade went smooth and they didn't try to charge me for it. This is a good software company. It locates all installed applications, shows the icons in it's easy to understand GUI. It uninstalls software that would normally be tough to get rid of, like "Norton" security applications. It does a good job of cleaning up the left over registry keys and files, most of the time. I think it's safe to use because it never deleted a single registry key I needed to hang on to. I trust this application.
Cons: It's slightly over priced and not yet perfect with "Vista". It leaves something behind, occasionally.

Pros: removes all traces of leftover registry entries,you can not believe how many are left when using windows add/remove program.also has auto fix for corrupt installs that works pretty well.You can also check program autostarts and edit them if you wish.I liked program enough to buy pro version.
Cons: if you use the temporary files deletion,be carefull what you delete,can actually clean temp files to well,AAARGH!oh well,learn from your mistakes.

Pros: I had a few problems with software not uninstalling and this program sorted it out easilly. Easy to use fully featured.

Pros: Love it -works well, however both files downloaded from Cnet and YU site return a positive to IM-worm.win32.sohanad.t, in Ashampoo anti spyware. Checks with other AS utilities show nothing and I find it hard to believe that either Cnet or YU would have infected files for download

"Best software I've ever downloaded"
Pros: Uninstaller 2006 is absolutely incredible. Am using it on XP Pro and it has successfully removed applications that have been stuck on the machine for over a year due to "corrupt files" or whatever. Uninstaller 2006 successfully removed every application and the system has remained completely stable after every one. Lots of other great features. Finally a piece of software that actually works!
