This lo-fi adventure quest, though sometimes repetitive, is a nice antidote to the complicated bombast of many popular games. Despite the game's middling visuals, the knight's mission to recover a stolen royal stamp collection becomes oddly compelling. Cave mazes, battles, and rewards await you on your path, and gameplay is simple enough--no arcane keyboard contortions are required. What's more, combat is essentially opt-in, since creatures are more often an obstacle between you and the gold than they are an offensive threat. The treasures do, however, allow your knight to return to the village to buy food for his flagging health or additional armor. Prices are high, however, and the repeating cycle of heading out to bruising battle to collect the gold you need to return to the village to repair and recuperate eventually inspires a certain existential ennui. Though probably most satisfying for kids or gaming beginners, Yipe III delivers plenty of fun to anyone looking for a simple afternoon distraction.Publisher's description
From Yipe Software :Yipe III for Windows is finally here. It is a role-playing game with a humorous twist. The town of Yipe is a peaceful burg, located high up in the mountains. Unfortunately, the surrounding world is not always friendly. In the landscape surrounding Yipe there are many caves to explore. In the past few months, evil monsters have started coming up from the caves and attacking the citizens of Yipe. Also, the king's rare stamp collection was stolen, and the monarch thinks that there may be a link between his missing stamps and the sudden increase in monster attacks. Oh, and the king also mentions that his daughters have vanished, and he's not sure if they've been kidnapped or if they simply ran away from home. In any case, great treasure awaits you if you can find them and return them to Yipe. Start saving the town of Yipe today.

Version: Yipe III 1.16
"Excellent game, very creative and humorous, awesome!"
Pros: This game is very humorous, addictive, creative, and just plain awesome. I could spend hours playing it, even if I haven't registered. I could just keep leveling up!
Cons: Having to send money to the states (I'm Canadian) to register. It's very cheap and that doesn't bug me, but I have to figure out the currency changes and prepare the mail ands stuff and I'm much too lazy to do all that.

Version: Yipe III 1.16
"Absolutely fun and addicting"
Pros: I love the storyline, the different take on weapons (a thumbtack, a folding chair, wet mittens as gauntlets), and just about everything else about this game. I was a devout Castle of the Winds player in college, and this game reminds me of it, only more fun, less creepy and gorey. A definite keeper.
Cons: Nothing comes to mind... :-)

Version: Yipe III 1.16
Pros: I love the humor in this game (I mean, where else can you find bunnies that can kill you...besides Monty Python). I like the style. It's simple, so I can easily use it. It's just an all around great game.
