From MSB Software Engineering:Yaps (Yet Another Password Safe) stores your passwords and other confidential information on your Palm, using 256-bit encryption. Access to the safe is password protected, with automatic lockout when the device switches off or when you go to another application. Other features include the ability to import from and export to Memo, mask or hide records, and fully implement Palm searching.
In version 2.5, Notes can now also be encrypted. The registration code entry has been removed: no registration code is required.

Version: Yaps 2.5
"YAPS improved by YAPS Viewer 1.1"
Pros: I've been using YAPS for years. I used some of the earliest versions. Each version's additional features have given us an excellent product.
I found that MSB Software Engineering now sales a YAPS Viewer 1.1 that allows you to see your passwords on the PC using the conduit YAPS file. Therefore if your Palm bites the dust, you can still get your passwords from you PC.
Cons: The YAPS Viewer 1.1 costs $9.00, not bad when you consider YAPS has been free.

"two serious problems with yaps"
Summary: 1. Cannot transfer database to another palm. My sony clie broke down, I bought a new one, restored yaps and my data, but now yaps tells me that my password is wrong and it won't let me access my data anymore. This is fatal!

Summary: this program does what it does, its stable, (never crashed) appears to be very secure (can't find a way around it) and is free......its an ESSENTIAL DOWNLOAD...

Summary: Yaps IS secure. If the memo #Yaps Data# exists the Yaps Export was used which was made to provide a readable export. Obviously the memo needs to be deleted when you're done with the data.
