This faulty freeware program promises to optimize your system, but several features require a separate download, and the remaining features are simply shortcuts to some of Windows' native functions. XPClean Menu's plain, floating toolbar houses several system tools, including System Restore, Defrag, and Disk Cleanup. XPClean Menu primarily cleans up temporary and unused files. You can quickly access folders where temporary files and the document history are stored, instead of fumbling through Windows Explorer.
We like how it automatically populates search fields, and locates old, unused temporary and media files. However, we don't see much value in this program. Most of the featured tools, such as Adware, Spyware, and Registry Cleaner, aren't found in the program and require users to download and install the tools from the publisher's Web site. In addition, XPClean Menu relies heavily on Windows' native tools, including several Control Panel applets, Windows' Search, System Restore, Disk Defragmenter, and Disk Cleanup. Since Windows XP already provides quick access to these tools, there seems little reason to use this program. We also found the utility frequently unstable in our tests: Clicking certain buttons often caused the program to freeze. We recommend that you skip this poor system maintenance tool and look for a more effective way to maintain and optimize your system.

Pros: Nothing
Cons: Would give it NO stars if I could
1. No link to uninstaller in programs menu
2. Uninstaller in Add/Remove programs fails - can't open log file
3. Uninstaller in program directory fails in same way
4. Simply acts as a menu to external programs, doesn't bring functionality itself.

Cons: It's really is only links. Uninstaller doesn't work! Plus the guy who made it is an old hag!
